Hey all just finished installing my 20" dual beam (spot/flood) light bar.

Planning on finishing the wiring this weekend if time permits and well if I have to wait on my rocker switch.

So my question is, I'd like to run this light bar with the truck off sometimes and I'm curious as to what is needed to do so?

For the switch I'm planning on ordering a comical rocker or "led light bar" rocker to place over a DPDT(DTDP) switch. Curious if you guys know if that is the switch I need to use to switch between flood or spot and still have an illuminated switch if I were to tap into a dash light.

Thanks all!

So you can use spot and flood seperate on your bar? Never seen that before.

I've never seen a bar that can be switched between spot and flood. But this is how I wired myn

I can have it on with the truck off on setting 1 then I can switch it over to 2 and have it come on with my high beams. 4d9a23dd5eafdc3abf749b0ed69ce9f7.jpg

If you're instructions have you wiring it to your battery via relay, it will turn on while the truck is off no problems...

Yes... But the double switch feature is different from yours though, right?

Can you turn your bar on/off without high beams on?

IMO

only my sugar pill ambers. :roflsquared:

In reality though, I couldn't think of a time I'd want to run my big bars without the high beams... still can't.

Me either, but also considering that my light bar overpowers my high beams... I guess it looks cooler with the fogs and lows? The fact that you could change between the two with just a switch upgrade is kinda cool? Give me some time to think of reasons :)
