The next thing i wanna get for my truck is an srt style hood, and the cheapest ones i can find are duraflex.

Yeah I think they are made from a certain material that allows them to flex slightly instead of like the fiberglass hoods which are more brittle

Hmm well I just did a search on the internet and guys are saying the hoods cost a lot to be prepped for paint vs steel ones and sometimes have gaps.

Duraflex premium aerodynamics combine fiberglass, plastic, and flex resins to obtain its unique features. The new Duraflex technology obtains a much higher durability rate than the average fiberglass product, resulting in reduced shipping damages up to 75%.

Wermbang has a duraflex hood on his 2nd gen that he got for $50,

hmmmm what scares me is the gaps. and if they cost more to get prepped and painted, then i should just go for a steel one huh?

Yeah I'm sure you can call or go to one and order it, or you can get one off the internet, but sometimes you can work out a deal with the dealership to paint them too
