Anyone done this or a similar product. I am looking to better insulate, eliminate road noise, and help out my bass.

Well...it sounds like you need to read up on what various products do.
Dynamat, or other constrained layer dampeners are just vibration dampeners. They add weight to stop harmonic vibrations that cause rattles.
Closed cell foam products and mass loaded vinyl are where your sound suppression comes from.
It takes a combination of all 3 to really fully achieve your goal.

A really good place to read up on the attributes of each and their proper use is Welcome to Sound Deadener Showdown | Sound Deadener Showdown

I installed dynamat in my 74 chevy 3/4 tons doors and floor, made a huge difference volume wise, when I slammed the doors they sounded solid, not like a hollow tin can. Good stuff easy to apply, just need the little roller doohickey.

What Unbroken said....

To significantly reduce road noise, it will take a lot of time and money. Set a budget and goal. You can easily spend $500-$1K in a hurry -- on noise dampening. If you want to reduce vibes, add SDS tiles on flat panels (here and there 25% coverage). If you have rattles, add CCF. For exterior noise, add MLV -- and that's where it starts to be a pain. I don't like to spend a lot. I'm a family man who simply wants better sound for a daily driver. Everyone has different goals. I start by adding tiles to the flat panels -- near door speakers/subs. That's cheap and easy.
