Ebay drop leafs

Anyone ever use these or know anyone whose purchased them?

They're listed as 2wd, but they're no reason they wouldnt work on a 4wd im assuming.

I've heard that people that run lowering leafs in rear tend to have a more stuff ride.

Meh, it's a truck. The ride is pretty stiff as is. I just like the idea of having the leafs on top of the axle, even though flip kits are cheaper and a good way to go, I would like to have the leafs on top, then eventually put air bags back there for the occasional time I do heavy hauls, usually once or twice a year when I'm doing landscaping.

Plus, drop leafs would be an easier install, including no welding, which I can't do so with these I wouldn't have to rely on anyone else, which is nice. Plus you could throw on drop shackles for the 4"-4.5" drop that you'd get from a flip kit, no?

Flip kit gives you 6". They supply a longer shackle with the basic kit so the rear is only a 4" drop

I don't think my dropped leaf springs made the ride much different on my truck. Not enough to notice anyway. I did get a little bit of axle hop the other day when I was power braking the truck to finish off my old tires on the way to the tire shop though.

why don,t you get this easy install flip kit from DJM :

FK2392-4 | DJM Suspension

Much cheaper option, no welds, and you keep all the factory parts...
