I'm removing the RAM 1500 from my door . Wondering if the RAM is close in size to be used on the limited grille?

I purchased the RAM door letters off ebay and painted them red. And attached some 10-32 stainless bolts to the back of them with JB weld so I could attach them with fender washers and nuts. when I installed then on my sport grill I also used 3M trim tape so they would not move.

Why did you want to add free RAM advertising to it??

I wish there was none of the RAM and 1500 and Limited and Ecodiesel and 4x4 CRAP call over these trucks. In Europe it's an insult to have badges, models, engine sizes... On you vehicle. They don't even put the model numbers on, like A6 or A8 on the Audi's is omitted. We should start the same trend.

I have to laugh at some of the replies. Everybody’s taste and opinions are different, there’s no right or wrong answer. Somebody likes the color black somebody likes the color white somebody likes the color yellow, it’s all personal preference. It’s no different with the grills. Get what you like, don’t let other people’s opinions sway you, that’s really following the sheep.

Agreed, BUT, the limited grill like the one that came on my truck is just super non-functional and really busy looking for no reason. I get the difference in opinion and taste, for example I don't think I would ever do the super popular "black out" thing everybody does, but I do see it looks nice, and see the draw to it. I just would not do it, but I understand it and get it.

However, the limited grill I don't get, and can't understand one, why RAM would design it and allow it to be sold on the truck, and two why some people would actually like it. It's just so weird with holes for lights that are non-existent, busy for no reason, and worst has a big giant "RAM" dead in the middle of it for no reason other than cheap advertising for them.

I bought the R A M letters from a dealer for around $50...they are somewhat larger than the letters on the door....probably 50% bigger, I think

some people buy those god awful jeep renegades too. i for one happen to like the limited grille. i dont expect you to have to understand why i like it other than the fact that i like it. everyone has their opinion's and thank you for sharing yours. we are all better for it.

+1... totally agree with everything you said.

What I don’t get is why some people can’t stand it if somebody else likes something they don’t. People like what they like, why should other people care? There’s no wrong answer, different people like different things, people need to stop worrying about what other people like.

excuse my less than amazing paint skills. but I was looking at the new sport/ limited grilles as well. in some colors they look good, but the red seemed too much. so I played with eliminating some of the red. I think this looks much cleaner will still giving a nice look upload_2018-1-21_10-24-15.png

I like the Laramie grill from 09-15 or something like that. I think the crosshairs are the best.

It's not that I can't stand that you or anyone else "likes" it. I could care less what everyone else likes, as long as they are happy, it's all good. BUT, what I don't like is that designers design things with absolutly no function, that drives me nuts. The limited grill has cutouts/blackouts on either side that are supposed to look like and extra set of lights. Well, then they should have made an option to actually ADD the lights! But no, they are fake, black holes on either side of the gill that not only have no function, but actually block some of the airflow to the 4 radiators that are on my eco truck. It just doesn't make any sense from a design standpoint, so from that stance it should not be made or sold that way. It has nothing to do with likes or dislikes of the look. Now, for my opinion, I don't particulary like the look of it, some of you do, that's fine, I have no issue what any of that.

Perfect example. He likes the crosshairs grill, I don't like those at all. Those are just tastes. There's nothing wrong withj the crosshairs grill, it's functional and has been around for a long time. some like it, some don't. But the new limited grill is really not functional, it's actualy kindoff anti-functionall.

I should add, you guys would probably HATE my new grill! I got a standard old chrome mesh grill, and bolted a light bar to the top of it. Functionally, works awesome, asteticaly it's just a matter of taste. I'm ok with it, but it's not the best looking.

Here is an example of "ugly", but functional. ;)
