I'm missing 2 cylinders
This morning before class I finished swapping out the crappy projectors that were in my headlights. Along with this I upgraded from OPT7 LEDS to a CANBUS friendly 35w 6k HID kit from innovited.

Keep in mind I’m in college and working with a tight budget and had to forgo and few meals to do this lol.
I went with the Bi-Xenon: Acme Standard (D2S) projector from The Retrofit Source.
Shipping was fast, packaging was neat, will do business with them again in the future.

Installation was a little weird but I made it fit with drilling new hole in the projector bracket and using new screws to hold it in place. I didn’t take pictures because it is definitely not professional but it is in there tight and aligned pretty well.

I’ll post pictures tonight when it gets dark but I’m happy with how it turned out for the amount of money I spent.

Bi-Xenon Acme D2S + shipping : $48
Innovited CANBUS 35W 6k kit : $69.99
Centric Rings : $10
Black Silicone : $17

Looks good! That projector setup is also surprisingly affordable, I wonder if those projectors would fit in the stock quad headlight housings?

Is it throwing out alot more light output than the projectors that were originally in there? What canbus/ballast system did you originally have? Looking forward to seeing more pics!

the answer to that is hell yes, aftermarket halo projector lights cant touch a true retrofitted projector

Also curious as to the differences between the Bi-Xenon Acme D2S's and the projectors you had.

if he went from the basic projectors that comes in those headlights, then the difference will be at least 3x the light output

What makes the retrofit projector better? Is it the design of the glass? The components used in the projector or the ballasts/canbus themselves. I am looking into purchasing almost the same headlight assembly as the OP but not sure if I should get some ballasts and projectors from online, bake and install or just keep with what they come with.

the difference is when you get a retrofit projector they are designed for one purpose, to put alot of light on the road where you want it and are designed for HIDs.

the problem with the OPs orig lights is the whole light is designed to be flashy and "cool" so they make it all blingy and push the design of the output to the side, plus the projectors in those lights are designed for a halogen bulb, obviously a dimmer lighting situation.

now you can stick an HID bulb in the lights as they come and they will be much better than the halogens they come with, but still cant touch a retrofit, my neighbor had me install the exact same headlights on his truck with HIDs thrown in them

I don’t think so, they said they recommend them for motorcycles or smaller housings. But I really couldn’t tell you

Yes a lot more, and sorry will post some, I was running opt7 led bulbs in it. The light output originally was horrendous and dangerous

If you get these you will be severely disappointed with the light output. A Retrofit is a must. I always had my fogs on, and even my lightbar when there wasn’t traffic.
