Thanks, I'm excited and hoping for a boy. Of course
Well, truth to all that has been said. Me, I'm waiting. Hope not to die of old age, but waiting for the 25/ 3500 series to come out with an 8 speed trans behind the 6.4 hemi. My guess, if that ever happens, the diesel will be a hard sell and that's even for those of us that tow heavy. The 8 speeds have an awesome gear ratio all along the band. Again, "I'm waiting". My 2500 Ram would be traded in a second if they ever do. Just my thoughts. lol

The Cummins has 800lb-ft (865 with the high-output) to the Hemi's 429. They could put a 14-speed behind the Hemi and the Cummins will still be a better towing option. Not that the Hemi is a slouch or anything; it's clearly got some oomph to it.Well, truth to all that has been said. Me, I'm waiting. Yes, definitely congrats on the good news!
I'm sure you'll find what you want - it's a bit tougher with a deadline but truth be told, these are great trucks any way you slice it.
I am also stuck with what to buy..... getting something this week. I have been doing lots of research and still can't make a decision. I like the hemi of course. But to get gas mileage like the ecoD would be amazing. I did see a utube that the eco with tow haul enabled and traction off did about the same o-6O than the hemi.. can someone confirm this?
I do not tow for the most part. I will tow a single motorcycle trailer during the summer to go to the track, I might do 5-7 trips 2-4hrs each way. Is this alone grounds to opt for the ED? the rest of the time will be in town and a 40 min drive to work 2 times a week. not sure how to crunch the numbers to see if its smart to get the ed. I wanted a 15 Larime limited for the plush leather, but don't particularly like all that chrome. I also really like the sport model but will want the air suspension. And the sport doesn't come with ED. There are many models I don't know about. Again its my first truck and first domestic vehicle ever. only had German cars before.
Side question, does the hemi and eco preforms the same in snow or off road?
also someone had put into my head that the high torque on the Ed actually out accelerates the hemi do to getting the full torque right away at low rpm. He told me that on freeways its faster to accelerate than gas, any truth?
I have driven both, but now just confused as to what I need. How about if they were the same price? a dealer near me was advertising free diesel upgrade, so there's that.
Sorry for all the questions. And, please don't just say its just personal preference!! thanks all.
The crew cab offered is plenty for a car seat in the back. I have a 6 month old and actually traded my 06 cummins for a 2015 6.4 hemi crew cab initially. When the hemi would keep up with our camper needs we traded for our 15 crew cab long box ******. I am just over 6' and have never had issues with the seat hitting the car seat.
You must sit with your nose on the steering wheel. I'm 6'1 and I had to move my seat about 3" up when I had my daughters car seat behind me, which is why it is now on the passenger side. Although if you are still using the system with a base in each car and 1 seat that might be why, that setup was about 1" shorter than the permanent monstrosity that is used later on.
ahh man... why do you have to go and ruin it for me!
yeah we are still using the clip in base thingy majig...
I do not sit with my seat all the way back. I sit where my arm is fully stretched to the top of the steering wheel... no issues as of yet, even have a few inches between the back of my seat and the car seat...
