Sorry if this is beating a dead horse, but if anyone has info I'm all ears.

I just bought a brand new 2019 Ram 2500 tradesman crew cab long bed 4x4 4.10 gear 6.4 hemi.

Its 2 days old. Ive noticed a vibration that at first I thought was the factory firestone tires, but now I see its The MDS (whats that stand for, multi displacement system?) going into Eco mode. Sounds like Im driving over rumble strips.

Every time it engages, I can feel it in the floor and seat. Seems to be worst under a slight load, eco mode and turning 1900 RPM.

I scheduled an appointment tomorrow with service and I expect ill be told its normal. I want it disabled because I'm not going to drive this thing for years doing this.

My 2019 6.4 was very similar. I just put the gear selector in 8th to stop the annoying in and out of eco .

Do you need to be driving to do that? Doesn't seem to respond if I'm in park unless I missed it. Seemed like my only option was to be in D or once I go down it's limited to 7 gears. I didn't notice an 8 setting. I'll try again.

Yes once in drive just hit the down shift toggle, then toggle it up to 8th. If you come out of D like into P, you would have to reset it again once you are back in D.

“Eco” doesn’t always mean MDS is active. The Eco indicator comes on when a predetermined leave of efficiency based on load/speed is achieved.

That said, If MDS is active, the eco indicator is is on, however it can also be on when MDS is inactive.

Just adding this as if you are troubleshooting, it is worth noting.

Pretty much every time I feel the vibration I see the Eco light came on. Would anything else stand out to you as the issue?
