About to purchase a tuner. Both are about the same price. Which would you prefer and why?

Diablo will be the overwhelming choice on this board. Edge is basically superchips i beleive. Plus you get custom tunes with diablo.

Tunes that are pre loaded on the tuner i.e. Diablo canned 93 tune or 87 tune, not tunes sent to you by someone like Hemifever.

2 site sponsors here will definitely help you out. Moe's performance and Hemifever tuning. They both sell the product and of course Hemifever does the custom tunes. I personally don't have a diablo but the guys that do rave about it. I tried Superchips twice and sold them.... I may get the F5, new packaging but same tune.

Diablo.....You can use the canned tunes and upload two custom tunes..You have so much adjustability in other areas when you wanna change stuff..Temp settings, tire size, when gear changes are made ect ect..Saves stock tune..
Its almost as if you have factory flashing ability..
Shoulda kept my trinity when i sold my 2010,coulda had it reflashed for the new 16 i have and bought the ecu...Now i got double the expence when i make the purchase..

If your want to leave it hooked up and have fancy gauges to watch get the trinity. If you gonna tune and disconnect it save some money and get the intune

Never used the Edge but have been more than happy with the Diablo, and they have good customer support.

Last year, I purchased a Diablo DCX from Moe's, along with the Hemifever custom tunes for my ’14 RCSB Hemi. Before I downloaded Sean's (Hemifever) custom tunes into the tuner, I tried the Diablo 93 octane canned tune, and I wasn't all that impressed. There was very little noticeable difference from the seat of your pants. However, that changed once I downloaded the Hemifever 93 Custom tune, then it really woke her up! What makes the Hemifever tunes really great is that Sean customizes the tunes for the mods you have so you get the most out of your bolt-ons (as oppose the generic canned tune).

Once you buy the Diablo, downloading the Hemifever custom tunes is very easy (I figured it out and I really suck with computers), and you can't beat the customer service from Matt at Moe's or Sean from Hemifever.

As stated above, from a performance standpoint, a custom tune will Diablo will walk circles around the generic Edge tuning.

As for the I2 or the Trinity, that just comes down to personal preference. The tuning is identical between the 2 units, so power gains are the same. The i2 is a smaller handheld that you simply remove after loading the tune where the Trinity comes with a monitor that stays in the truck all the time. The monitor allows you to view multiple gauge parameters as well as record 0-60, 1/8th, and 1/4 mile times. If you dont care for the monitor, then you can save yourself $130 and go with the i2 instead.

Looks like you've decided to go with Diablo which is good. I bought an Edge CTS2 Evolution and it wouldn't set up. I just called Edge and they told me that the 2014 5.7 isn't supported yet.

Sooo now I get to go through trying to return the product to Autoanything and explain to them that, yes I did open it, but no it doesn't work, I'm sure I'm going to get some crap since electronics are usually harder to return than other stuff. The frustrating thing is that the site shows that it is compatible with 2014 5.7 1500's, if it wasn't I wouldn't have ordered it.

Did your tuner say operation failed when you tried to program a different power level?
