That's right guys. I have had alot of interest in both of these mods, so we have come up with a great way for you to save some money. When ordering these 2 mods as a package deal, you will save $50 as apposed to buying them separate.

These trucks are known for having terrible drivetrain loss through the transmission. Replacing the junk factory converter with a quality billet converter from Edge Racing is the first step in putting all your engine's available power to the rear wheels. With their 11" billet converter you have the option for stall speeds from 2600-3200rpms. Combine this with the increased efficiency over stock, and your tires are going to hate you. This converter is rated for up to 600HP!!

From there, the next step is a Sharadon Performance valvebody. If you are tired of the soft shifts of the factory transmission, then this modified valvebody is for you. The stage 2 will shift firmer than stock, but mild enough that it is not an inconvenience on the street. The stage 3 is for the performance minded guys. This valvebody will deliver neck snapping shifts for the best performance possible. These faster shifts will increase transmission life by not allowing enough time for the clutches to slip under heavy throttle. This valvebody is still streetable, but you are going to notice it is there even under part throttle shifting.

Moe's is also the only vendor that offers these valvebodies without the standard $250 core charge...nobody wants to go through the hassle of paying extra up front and having to ship their core back after the install.

These mods combined are going to deliver a performance increase that is tough to beat for the price. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Normal pricing if you were to buy these parts separate would be $525 for the converter, and $399 for the VB. That comes to $924 combined. Save $50 and pick up this combo deal for only $875 with FREE shipping.

Will do. We have talked about it a few times, but need to get a few out there for testing first.

Just a guestimate, how much would an average tranny shop charge to install?

Shop rates vary by location, but out here, I have seen anywhere from $200 to $400 for labor.

Great improvement. There is a member on another forum that gained almost .4 in the 1/4 mile on his mostly stock 4th gen with a 2600 stall converter. If you are not planning on extensive mods, then a 2600 stall is perfect. If you plan to add more mods in the future, then it will be cheaper for you to go straight to the 2800 from the start. A 2800 in a bone stock truckl will still be very streetable.

I just wanted to add to this. For the 2011-12 trucks, with there not being a tuner available and gear swaps costing an arm and a leg, an aftermarket converter is 1 of the best mods you can do. It does not require any additional tuning, will show better seat of the pants gains than an intake and exhaust combined, and is a very straight forward item to install. This should be at the top of the list for every 2011-2012 Ram 1500.

The dealership is going to tell you that any mod will void the warranty unless you know someone there. The dealerships in my area are extremely picky about any type of aftermarket parts.

If it helps any, the Edge converters look like stock on the outside. They would have to crack it open to see that it is not stock...sneaky sneaky.

just throwin it out, I believe the vb is actually better for the tranny life, because it allows the bands to not get caught up on each other, or something of the sort..

edit:just saw this was a about just the converter not the vb, my bad

You are correct about the VB. The firmer shifts dont allow the clutches time to slip which will benefit your transmission in the long run.
