EGR valve replaced - now P0406 code

I was chasing a rough idle and thought it might be the EGR valve so I purchased a cheap, non-Mopar one and sure enough it threw an EGR code. unfortunately i threw away the original. The OEM Mopar one costs 200, before i buy it, is there a way to trick the electronics? For example, I put in HID front headlights that immediately displayed 'Lamp Out' warning that i fixed by installing resistors.
