Alright. After reading and watching dozens of how toos and reviews. I pulled the trigger and installed a V6 fan on my Hemi Ram. Now in all honesty, I dont think the temp difference on the fans activation will make enough difference to be a problem. But it does worry me now each time my needle goes past the half mark by quite a ways then stops. The fan kicks on and brings down to halfway reliably each time. It's just a little unnerving watching my guage bounce around on that side of the halfway mark. I know I can buy a tuner and change it. I probably will at some point. I just want to know and hear from others that have done this and ran it on a stock system. Any problems? Is it truly reliable?

Your temps will be much steadier if you either
A. put the clutch fan back on.
B. have the electric fan turn on sooner and run most all the time on a hot day,
Run your AC all of the time, that will keep the fan on most of the time.
C. If you have the shutters, removing a few will help while you are moving but the above 2 options are needed if you want the temp to be steady while at a stop.

It will just fluctuate.
It is about a 15 degree fluctuation over the standard setup, which I don't think is a problem. All electric fan only vehicles also do the temp variance from the time the thermostat opens to the temp the fan kicks on.
