I finally got around to doing something I should have upgraded a long time ago, my electrical wiring.

Did a big upgrade tonight, haven't tested it yet so I don't know if it made a big difference. So far I have made four new connections. I plan to beef it up more within the next week.

I use 0 gauge wire

1: Battery + to Alt+ (Fused)
2: Battery - to Engine
3: Battery - to Frame
4: Battery - to Upper Fender
5: Battery + to Fuse Box (next to be installed)

I have some wire left over and plan to use it up on grounds.

Looks good!! Just wondering how much does this benefit??

Performing this upgrade on your vehicle is one way to improve the electrical system performance and its ability to supply power to your audio system. This upgrade will help any vehicle using an after-market amplified stereo system, and most certainly should be performed on any vehicle after a high-output alternator is installed.

I have noticed a huge difference so far, there is still one important wire connection waiting to be connected, Battery + to the fuse box.

Nothing like the big 3 and then some! I haven't thought about doing this to the truck since I only did this when I ran stereo systems in my older cars. But now I have another thing to add to the mod list!

It is finished!

I have a feed of 0 gauge from Battery+ to a 0gauge distribution block, that has two 0gauge outputs. In one output I have a 0gauge feed going to the + on my fuse box. In the other output I have the two stock positive wires, and my accessories (alarm).

Here is the distributor,

Wowzers, a 3rd battery. Might want to look into a high output alternator or youll be stressing your stock one.

Your batteries are what gives the truck power to turn on and run accessories, you alternator is the true power house, its what refills the batteries with juice.

My problem was, when my bass came in, I had a huge power drop, with the big three upgrade the rate that the battery charges went up 100% quicker.

Next on my list for this truck, more power, which means a high output alternator and an extra battery.
