Hi, I bought a truck with this noise! Thinking about pulling it out and trying to see if it’s fixable before swapping with a new one! Any input on what this noise might be would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I have a ‘16 2500 5.7 with 120K and wow that is loud! I doubt that is a simple exhaust manifold issue. I don’t think Redline oil is going to fix it either.

Sounds like a cam lobe is wiped out, any Misfires, check rocker arm movement, sounds like upper end.

Sounds valve train related to me. That does not sound like an exhaust leak. That sounds like metal on metal. I agree with the other post, cam/lifter related
