I have a 5.7 hemi with 110000 miles and I recently got a bad tick/knock. The last owner had the truck taken in for a snapped valve spring, and I think another one snapped. I’m not sure, could it be lifters? Sounds like it’s coming from the heads with the stethoscope. Also is it safe to drive on a snapped spring or can the valve drop?

That doesnt sound like lifter tick, could be a valve spring. Dont need to remove heads, so since you are not doing anything important this weekend, just do it. even if you had something to do, this is a good excuse to get out of it. Get the part asap, most part stores would probably have it by friday if you order it today. Why I really like napa, if they dont have it they get it in a day most the time. Get other examples up as well, that one wasnt great but there are others up.
