I have a 2012 ram st 4x2 with a V6 and a 3.7L (I know it's not the best...) but I was wondering if anyone has 35's with this engine or if anyone knows how it runs or if I need and upgrade of just to stick with 33's. thanks

And by the way the tires have 11.6 width so they won't be as heavy. Dont know if that will make a difference.

Stick with the 33's. Why a V6 and 2WD if you were wanting to run 35s?

It was my uncles and it was a good deal and I didn't know I wanted to do anything to it at the time.

What gear ratio do you have right now? If its tall, just gear it down and you'll have similar engine/acceleration performance with the 35's as you do with the 33's. So if you have a 3.55 ring now, swap in a 4.10 or 3.92 gear ring and you'll be fine.

If I had 34's on there do you think I would have to still change gears?

I wouldnt think so, the engine still puts out 300hp so guessing around 220 at the wheels... you need to know what gears are in it now. if they're 3.71s or 3.92s you may not need the swap for 35s if its geared low already. assuming you arent going for any real offroading; It will accelerate significantly slower with 35s, so if you're going for the look, and slower doesnt bother you it may not matter. its not like you wont be able to go up a hill on the street or something, just slower acceleration, lower mpg.

im pretty sure the 3.7l makes 215hp and has a 4 spd. if your lucky and got 3.92's, it might not be too horrible but i would venture to guess it probably has 3.55's. 3.71's were never an option, ever. bottom line is its going to be slow and suck gas. i would probably stick with 33's tops.

If your stuck on adding 35s I would swap gears and go with 4.10s. Then just to get more power to the ground, I'd finish up with a new, more efficient torque converter.

Both will give you acceleration back as well as raising your mpg.

I've look for gears online and I haven't found a place to get them. Does anyone know a website or something?

If your looking for 35's you might as we'll trade it in on a larger engine. You won't be happy, and gears still won't help all that much with a 3.7L.

Just my honest advice. I had a 3.7 rcsb, added 22's and it was an absolute dog. 35's will be even worse.

Ok thanks and it's days 4.10 for 8.0" front. What does the 8.0" front mean?

And the 4.56 gears are the same price so would those help more?
