So Im in the Army and on my way back from working out this morning I stopped to let some soldiers cross the road and my 2014 1500 with the 5.7 shut off. I started it back up but when I went to put it in gear it died again. Me and a few guys pushed it to a parking lot and I got it to start again. The truck will idle regularly but I touch the gas it will raise the RPMs then when I let off it will rough idle for a few seconds then sputter out. At first I thought fuel pump but after doing a little reading it might be a relay I didnt check apparently. Please any info would be much appreciated.

Well, there is a relay in the fuse box on wheel well. U need to look it up and see which one it is for your truck. Just punching holes in the dark here...

Open it up, see which one it is but make sure all seated. Another person on a diff thread this topic said his fuse was corroded from not being seated, not know about that one.

All above just a suggestion, BUT my 1st thought was fuel pump, next fuel filter, next fuel rail, but I am no mechanic...

No check engine light. It came on once but the message on the dash screen said "service anti lock brakes". Which was also a bit off putting.

So I stopped after working out to do a check on the relay and I tapped them all just to make sure. It turned over idled normal for about 30sec then started to idle a little lower and surging to the normal idle then got lower and lower and cut out.

I have not brought it to the dealer as I bought the truck in WV and I am stationed in Texas currently.
