I have a 09 ram 2500 hemi and am looking for a used motor to swap in. My motor looks to have had some junk run through it, and would need a complete rebuild. Can anyone help me understand what year engines are compatible? I know if I get a motor from a car or 1500 truck I’ll need to do an mds delete, but I’m told there is reluctor wheel differences at some point? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

09-12 use the same setup. There might be some sensors on the intake changed in 13 and up but all still the same setup. The wheel only matters with 08 and down 5.7s or 6.1s and 6.4s.
I rebuilt a 2011 durango 5.7 and put it in my 2500 this year.
The main differences in the car and truck motors are the timing chain cover, cam, intake and reverse the oil pan.
