Hello all, new member...

Question, am I able to delete/remove the esim from my truck... as in its gone, no more esim?
That or bypass it so I no longer need to deal with it failing. I replaced the ESIM 8months ago and its failed already. I live in a state with no emissions checks/requirements and I would rather just remove this junk than replace it every year. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Did you by an aftermarket ESIM? Like, Dorman or something from Oreilly or Auto Zone? Because they are bad right out of the box, somewhere around 99.998% of the time. Go OEM for this part.

But, to answer your original question, yes. You can buy a tuner from HP Tuners, and delete the evap system.

Another thing that fools people alot is the o-ring that the ESIM seals against. If it dries out, gets hard or cracks, it'll read as a bad ESIM.

Check that o-ring.

Also, the part # for the OEM ESIM is 52855827AB
Good point, Ill pull the ring and check it before swapping the esim, maybe treat the new seal with a rubber conditioner to keep it better.

Thanks for the pn, and helping me out.
