I purchased my 2016 Power Wagon in June of last year and am very happy with no doubt. I, on the other hand, have always wondered how many other power wagon's there are in my area or state for that matter due to not seeing hardly any when I am out and about or driving to work. I wonder about this because of owning other vehicles and seeing similar or the exact same on the road all the time when traveling. My question would be, has any one ever thought about this while driving out and about on the road?

It's not uncommon to see other Power Wagons while driving around the Colorado Plateau region. It's useful equipment to have out here.

On a quick check of the Ram dealership in the small city of Montrose, Colorado, population around 19,000, out of 85 Ram trucks, five are Power Wagons.

Some of the PW Facebook groups get clogged up with “I saw _______ color Power Wagon near _______!!! Was it anybody in this group???” posts. They’re like the missed connections section of Craigslist.

PWs are more common out west. Anchorage is full of them (the dealer I drive past every day had 8 of them on the lot a few weeks ago).

For every owner who’s an enthusiast and loves their PW and wants to do the secret handshake with every other PW owner, there are owners out there for whom it’s just a truck and they couldn’t care less that you have one too.

Thank you for your responses. I can only imagine how popular they are out west due to the terrain type. I, however, live in North Carolina area close to the Sout Carolina border so am thinking that may be why due to having a smoother terrain type. I do like the fact of not having the same vehicle as everyone else!

Have had my '18 PW here in Rock Hill SC for 6 months and have seen exactly TWO in that time frame. I always get interest in the Wagon when I'm pumping gas or just out and about, so I guess they aren't all that common around here. The only thing I run through here is mud....so no wonderful trails that I see folks out West running their trucks on....I'd like to try that...mud isn't fun...truck likes to sink into it a LOT! Looking to add a nice air compressor so I can let the air down in the tires and then refill them! Ah well, but, like you said, it's nice not having the most common vehicle around town! :)

I see one every now and then but like Mazer, mine also gets plenty of attention and praise from both other RAM owners and non RAM owners.

+1

I live in the foothills of NC and have seen 1 in my area since I bought mine last June.

I’m thinking there is not a popularity thing for Power Wagons in North Carolina which is ok for me. I have lived here for 10 years and have seen a lot of 2500 Cummins and other Rams, so it’s kind of cool having a 2016 power wagon that no other has or is a part of. Much respect goes out to all the Power Wagon owners!

I bought mine a year ago. I've put 30k miles on it so I've been out. I'll go several months without seeing another. In 1 week, I saw 5.
