Anyone that put shorties on have their exhaust tips stick out further? If so, how did you correct them? Had shorties put on after a few broken studs and my tips stick out about 2-3” further. It’s driving me crazy!!!

[emoji1787] Just what the wife/girlfriend asked for right? Jk. In all seriousness though you may be able to loosen the u clamp on the bottom of the y pipe and move it foreward. It's miserable tho And you likely won't get that much out of it maybe an inch if you're lucky. Sounds like a great reason to upgrade to an aftermarket muffler.

Thanks, I’ll give the clamp a shot. Already got a mufflex muffler on. Everything lined up fine till the headers went on. Didn’t know if they were a tad longer than the stock manifolds which would cause the issue.

That could very well be. Your muffler may also give you some adjustment too. Hopefully that works for you.

loosen everything. Put a piece of wood on the exhaust tip and give it a few tappy taps. Just tap it in.

I tried loosening everything and tapping the tips but it was a no go. Think I may just bring it to an exhaust shop and have them cut out a little piece. I know I’m probably over reacting but it drives me nuts!!! I have ocd on some things and that just happens to be one of them.

It's hideous!! [emoji1787] Kidding but yeah I get your OCD that would bug the **** out of me too. Mine sitck out about an inch and one is maybe 1/4 less even than the other but I can't fix it because my muffler split is slightly off so if I make it flush it hits stuff. I'm thinking just going with a solo stainless steel dual back instead of stock and as a bonus resonators will be gone.

What shorties did you install? The down pipe ball and socket flange should be in the exact same position as the OEM manifolds.

I got the jba’s, I thought they looked the same size but can’t seem to get the rest to line up like it did with the stock manifolds.

Do you have any soft joints in the rest of the exhaust ststem? I'm thinking one of them slipped because it should be exactly the same. Even the midpipe into the header y-pipe can't move back that far without falling out(plus it's tack welded).

I checked everything, even tried loosening everything. The shop I brought it to turned out to be hacks so who knows what they did. But I’ll double check everything one more time. Maybe I’ll just have to live with it.

Otherwise get a 3” butt lap clamp and cut how much you want it moved from the midpipe.

Im **** about that too, I cut and rewelded my tips on twice because they weren’t perfectly parallel to each other and the frame aha

Did some measuring, bought the 3” clamp as recommended.... cut out a 1.5” section. And it sits exactly where I wanted it!!! Thanks for all the assistance.
