So once again Ill list the exhaust setup I want-
2.5" true duals with Super 10 mufflers, Magnaflow X pipe, and 5" tips, ALL STAINLESS.

I took it to another shop today and since I want all stainless pipes, they said they wouldnt be able to weld stainless to stainless accessories (X Pipe). They also questioned the grade of stainless with the pipes and X Pipe, and they claimed the Maggie X pipe is a lower quality grade stainless than maybe the pipes would be. There is just no way in heck im going to put aluminium pipes on in Ohio and have them rust out in a year or two. After all this they told me they could bend the pipes and i would have to take it to a welder to get the job done. Luckily my cousin is a welder who primarily only works on Rams, but id have to pay two shops to work on it. Dont know if i should do this or get more opinions on it. Ive seen plenty of clips with setups exactly like this just maybe with different mufflers, so im just getting frustrated at this point.

I'm sorry, but it won't matter if it's 304 or 409 stainless, just use 309 wire, it can all be welded together. I would find a shop that will do the work properly, it sounds like a cop-out by the shop not to do the work. I just had mufflers, cutouts, and tips worked on by one of the best exhaust shops in my area and they never even questioned the grade of stainless.

Could awlays just order mandrel bent pipe you want with some reg stainless stock and cut and fab it yourself then have your cousin weld it. The shop saying they would bend your pipe will prob just use a reg tube bender which will crush down the pipe in the bends.

Heck the shop that did the exhaust on my wifes truck only had aluminized pipe. They welded the Stainless tips to it with no problems. It has held up for the past 4 years now with very little rust (a bit of surface rust is on it but no pitting).
I have to agree with Charon on this matter and say that the shop you first went too just did not want your business or were trying to sell you more expensive pipe. Go elsewhere.
