I am in the market for a new exhaust. I have a 5.7 hemi. I'm looking for something with a deep tone and aggressive sound. Any ideas of what to get? Also any opinions on the best exhaust performance wise?

From the research I did a few weeks back most people recommend either true duals with an X pipe or the Magnaflow catback with a new Y pipe. However if all you want is loud and don't care much for performance you might be interested in a Flowmaster catback.

I personally went with the Magnaflow kit but my truck is being repaired due to an accident so I have not been able to install it.

Most of the guys on here are running the Mufflex kit. I like my Cherry Bomb Extreme. It has a nice aggressive sound. That not many other mufflers give for that price

A lot of guys go with the mufflex kit due to it being a direct bolt on kit, I once had the mufflex 18 and muffler delete. I didn't notice any gains due to me always punching that skinny pedal, but they sounded good, but they weren't for me. I'm more of a flowmaster chambered sound. In my opinion whatever exhaust you go with, take the reso's off, they quiet it down so much and it gives it an odd tone to me IMO. I'm sure more people will chime in with more opinions

I had flowmaster super 44 single in dual out on my old hemi. It was loud but I wasn't real impressed with it. I'm not looking for something that's just loud. Looking for something that's got that deep distinct tone.

Well on my 04 I had a flowmaster super 10 and that was deep and loud, I had it with dual 4 inch slash cut tips, and it sounded great. Always got complimented on it. Other than flowmaster, the only exahaust that I can think of would be borla. I just realized you had an 03 so idk if there are any direct bolt on kits for you

When I had my 05 I put a Magnaflow dual in dual out with internal X pipe, also did away with the Y pipe to make it true duals, got lot's of compliments on the sound. I plan to do that with my 13 as well but am spending lot's on my other toy so it will have to wait a bit.

Cutting of the resonators will immediately change the tone and volume of the exhaust note, but you can get into a situation where you have droning at certain rpm ranges, too; it's a trade-off.
While the Borla is a top-notch quality piece, it's not very loud. I've put Magnaflow on all my vehicles as I love their sound. With this platform you can choose the length (14/18/22) to be as aggressive as you want.

I'm thinking about putting the 22 Magnaflow on my 2014 2500, what do you guys think what kind of sound I will get, I don't want loud but just a little rumble?
