Hi all, I'm looking for a Cat back side exit exhaust to fit to my 05 Quad cab Hemi to make it sound nicer, I'm not looking for any performance gains - just want it to sound like a 'proper' V8

I'm on a tight budget and am from the uk so will need a company that will ship it over.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Only side exit I've seen was made by Gibson, and ran over $400 USD. You're probably better off buying a quality muffler then having a shop run some tubing out the side. Would save you on shipping I would imagine.

Thanks for the suggestions,

jarred - I guess both the flow master and Gibson exhausts both exit in front of the rear wheel..... Do these replace the big standard muffler connecting just down from the Y pipe?

Usaf2006 - it's a great idea to just get a muffler and get some tube made up but I like the idea of a dual exit, plus I'd like the tips to look good too.

If anyone has some photo's of a modified exhaust that would be great...

I installed the Gibson SS Super Truck side exit exhaust system. I purchased it from Parts Train for $377.38 shipped. This is a great sounding/performance cat back system. Not as loud as I thought. Exits on passenger side in front of rear tire.

I have a flowmaster 40 with the stock resonator. Really nice deep tone, and the drone isn't too bad. Going to switch to an MBRP soon.

Loved my old Gibson ST cat back. One of the first and most enjoyable performance mods done back then.

Thanks for all the input, I never thought about changing the muffler and leaving the stock resonator....I guess this is going to be the cheapest way to do things.

Loving the idea of putting on the Gibson but am worried I'll get fed up with the noise in the cabin after a while.

Another option...keep stock muffler and add an electric cutout setup. Look up QTP Cutouts

Update : Flowmaster Super 40 ordered and am planning to leave the resonator and see how it sounds.
Will post a before and after video when it's fitted.
