Extended warranty or not?

38,000 miles on a 2014.

Wouldn't the 5 year, 100,000 mile original warranty cover that?

That's what I was wondering. Also only 38K on a transmission My old Ford got 140K on the first one, 150K on the second and still going when I sold it.

I'm also curious as to what trans he had? 2014 would suggest most likely the 8 speed but not necessarily.

Did not read all of the posts, but I spent over 3k out of pocket on non warranty covered repairs on my 13., 1500 before 70k. Front struts and rear shocks, water pump and electric rack and pinion. All repairs at a private shop. Add 1k plus if at a dealer. Exhaust manifolds needed attention and front fender was rusting from the inside out. I would buy a warranty. Forgot to add that the transmission had major warranty work prior yo 60k.

Extended warranties from a mathematical/statistical standpoint are a waste of money.

Extended warranties from an online forum standpoint are priceless and the best thing since the little baby Jesus sliced the first slice of bread.

It’s kinda damned if you do damned if you don’t. If you don’t there is a chance it may need it in do time. If you have it there is a chance you may never need it.
