i want to get a Mopar Ext Warranty. Seems the dealers want to push other warranties. Or there are a few that say they sell Mopar factory warranty but its because its actually a Chrysler warranty product but it not really exactly the same as what you get if you call Ram Customer Service.

The dealer where i bought my truck had a really good price on a supposed Chrysler product but at the last min he informed me its not exactly the same but still a Chrysler product.

My plane was to get a dealer a chance to match the Ram warranty price but i am guessing at the top of the page it say Mopar Factory Warranty but in the small print there is a clause that reveals it not really quite as good as the one you get when you call Ram customer service.

For instance i have read factory warranty you pay nothing up front for a repair but many other warranties want you to pay up front and then they reimburse you.

Pretty frustrating. Anyone has a source you have had good experience with then please share.

Thank you.

I did a 3rd-party warranty from my credit union (and backed by them), but only because I did not know about FCA having an extended warranty program themselves. There's a thread in this very forum recently that talks about a vendor that sells FCA-approved extended warranties... sec...

...ah, here it is: https://www.ramforum.com/threads/maxcare-warranty.142460/

I got mine from these guys: https://www.chryslerwarrantydirect.com/
They are a great option if you can't or don't want to fork out the whole amount at one time. They have up to 18 months financing. There are better options if your going to pay cash up front. The prices have went up significantly over the last couple years especially last year since I guess they knew well in advance that they were going to eliminate the lifetime warranty. I paid $2800 for lifetime added care plus on 11/29/18 which was literally at the last minute. Hopefully they'll bring the lifetime back at some point, I probably won't buy another Hemi anything until they do as the risks of cam and lifter problems down the road is just too great to face without a warranty.

Just purchased the factory 8yr, 75k, $100 deductible from [email protected] based on some others feedback on this forum. Best price I could find anywhere including other options mentioned on the forum, prompt response.
