Extra wire harness in doors??????

Switching out my speakers and came across a harness, wired from same loom as wires going to speakers, wrapped in white, taped to a spot that looks like a Module would mount. Green wire w blue tracer and blue wire. Power tow mirror?

the tow mirrors use the same harness as the regular mirrors

I don't know what it's for. There is def a spot for whatever it plugs into to mount. There are 2 holes that look like you could screw something into to mount. I buttoned up the door b4 I could snap a pic. I'm finding Kicker (besides Mopar parts) don't make a drop in 6x9. 5.25 fits w a bracket. Cutting the plastic that the window track is secured to just doesn't sit well w me. Not sure if I want to weaken that structure. Could be wrong but I feel like spacers would sacrifice sounds quality w the gaps between the speaker and where it mounts. Idk, I could be wrong.

You can still get a decent sounding shallow speaker. I believe max depth in the front doors, because of that structure, is 2 7/8"

I put spacers on my DS693s and while the triaxial part does touch the door panel, they sound great and I didn't have to hack up the inside of the doors.

Did you put them in the front doors or rear or both and what size spacer did you use? I think i saw someone post 1/3"? I'd rather not have to return them.

I used them in the front and they are 1/4" thick. In the rear I modified the opening to make them fit since there was no issue with the window track.
