I recently purchased a 2013 Ram 1500 SLT 4-door with the touch-screen AM-FM radio. I own an extensive CD collection and would like to either install a factory AM-FM CD player or(less interested) a good quality outboard CD player in the console utilizing the power port and 1/8" jack. Have any of you other Chrysler experts reverse-engineered this? I am worried about trips to the dealership to "reboot" computer parameters that could screw up other functions or it not work at all.

the best way to do this is to get a console that has the cd everything would be easier to connect and install a center console with cd and works perfectly

I appreciate your quick reply. There is one console unit for a 13 Ram on Ebay and it's over $500. I suppose that if I want it bad enough I'll buy it.But that is a lot of money for a stand-alone single CD player.

In your situation it might be better to go with an aftermarket stereo. I have roughly 400 CDs in my collection and have ripped them all in lossless to my phone. It's awesome having my entire collection with me everywhere.
