I’m going to be buying a set of recon tail lights. I will be selling my factory LED Sport tail lights locally. I was wondering what a good asking price would be.

Brand new from ram they are 640 dollars.

Mine are off of a 2017 and are in immaculate condition.

I was thinking of asking 300-400 dollars. Is that a reasonable asking price?

Thanks for the help.

Just throwing this out there as an FYI. I did the same and replaced my OEM LED tails with a set of Recons. It's been a year so maybe things have changed, but Recon requires you to re-use the OEM wiring harness. So when you go to sell your OEM set, they have no wiring. Apparently it is near impossible to get that harness and makes selling these a *****. I still have mine sitting in a box unsure of what to do with them.

I mean yeah any aftermarket lights you get you still use your factory harness. But there are conversion kits out there for guys with standard taillights to switch to led. Good looking out though thanks.

Right I was just throwing that out there for added thought into selling price. You want to do $300-$400 for the tails then the buyer has to pay an additional $130 or so for the conversion adapter kit and do the work of getting that himself, separately, makes it a tough sell.

If the buyer has factory LED tails then he/she would already have the harness. When i removed my factory LED tails to put in my aftermarket spyder LED tails i just unplugged from factory and plugged in aftermarket

The conversion kit price is a good point too. Probably drop my price a little bit for that. I’m bringing them to a local meet on Saturday so I’ll see if I can get rid of them there.

Would be interested in knowing how you make out if you don't mind sharing afterwards. It sucks but I think I'll have to stop being stubborn and let them go for around the $200 mark and convince myself that any amount is better than them sitting in a box taking up space haha.

Do you have a picture of the tail lights and would they plug into my factory wiring harness? 2017 2500 Limited. 20180731_080114.jpg

Limited has LED tail lights. Only difference is the chrome surround on the limited tail light and I think the Sport LED's might be tinted a bit darker...not 100% sure on that part.

Yes you are right just got the truck last week it was a demo with 6000 miles on it .
Was looking at pictures of other trucks with I guess aftermarket LED's and you can see them alot more. Just had someone push on the brakes to see it. Thanks.
