So I just got a 2014 ram Cummins turbo and it’s a first time for me owning a diesel. Truck runs and looks great low miles (67000) and had a diesel mechanic look it over stated everything looks in order. One concern on my end is when accelerating right around 35 mph I feel a kick or numb in the shifting. In my gas trucks of the past this usually means I’m screwed but curious on thoughts as to what could cause this in this truck (and if I’m screwed again). Any thoughts?

Not sure what you mean by a "kick" with the transmission. Compared to a gasser, diesel accelerate with gobs more torque. The CTD develops more torque just off idle than either of the Hemi engines max torque(at any rpm). If your light on the throttle it will up-shift without you realizing, partly due to the boost pressure dropping off(no/low load). Put your foot into some more, see if the kick(or whatever is happening) goes away.

Yea it will drop from around 2000 rpms to like 1200 or 1300 when it bumps to. I’ll give that a shot just don’t want to eat a transmission replace price right now I want her running right. I’ll prolly replace filters and all to I’ve been told a clog could be causing this as well .
