After 4 years of driving a 2011 ecoboost - the biggest nightmare a truck could ever be, I finally found the right deal on a ram. Only day 2 of ownership but I'm absolutely ecstatic to be driving it every time. First bigger v8 I've owned and I love the power and mpg im getting. Its the black on black express quad cab, real sharp looking truck. So now that I have it, I've made a laundry list of upgrades / mods I want to do in the next year:

Running boards
Manual folding tow mirrors
Cold air intake
K&N throttle control module
Blacked put tail lights
Magnaflow exhaust system

What mods have you guys done that I'm not thinking of?

First WELCOME to the group ! Beautiful truck
CONGRATULATION on you new RAM !
Floorboards are a real plus for tall or short people ! I used to carry a foot stool to help my mother in law get in !
My 2015 is stock with a few goodies.

IMO Mud Flaps are a must for us in the rust belt ! As the sand they hit the road with have many boulders in it :O
All Weather floor mats are a plus for our snowy/dirty feet! Saves the carpet. Husky,OEDRO and Weather Tech + other are good ! OEDRO are the low priced !
Good seat covers are a plus
And hope you have a thick check book because these gals and guys will help you spend a ton on your truck lol
And check your Cabin Air filter , It is behind the glove box and ton's of video's on it if you never changed one before
Good luck

I have put this bar on both of my Rams. Currently, Big White, '17 2500 has killed 4 deer and my '09 1500 has killed 2.
They paid for themselves several times over by preventing any front end damage.

Oh, and light bars. Amber & White selectable. No spliced wires into factory wiring. Only connection is the battery & ground. Use relays for everything. d97d778c53e5dc8b6942818d79db163a.jpg1394c5c4abcf6963cd50969eb59cdd49.jpgf9e02e3bfc75b4fa1f381dc5e7bfc50c.jpgd2842c403e4ea184f95f162bb6cde9b5.jpg

Cold air intake

Welcome aboard! I've had my '15 from new and it still does everything I ask from it, rides and drives like a new truck (well, better thanks to Bilsteins)

As for the cold air intake.. the factory intake is pretty good on these trucks you can expect about zero horsepower from most aftermarket intakes.

It's been kinda beat to death but the summary is like this:

If you want to actually make more power vararam is the only one that really seems to get the job done.
If you want super cool points, the Mopar hood intake sure looks awesome anyway.. probably doesn't actually make power but it's undeniably sweet to have a functional hood nostril so you get instant envy from everyone else who can't justify the $$
If you want increased filtration the Volant Powercore is the ticket since it uses filter media off a mining truck
If you want inexpensive imaginary horsepower the lower half of an Ecodiesel air box swaps in and has a much larger intake elbow you can use the larger pleated media from that, maybe it's good for 0.01 horsepower at 5400 rpm!
If you want to discard money, buy any other intake.

Skip the K&N throttle control module and get a Pedal Commander instead. And you can’t forget about a catch can. A must if you ask me on our Hemis.

Made bo GO Industries. They call it the Rancher Grille Guard.
I bought the gloss black powdercoat for the '09 1500 with a 1 yr guarantee. I commuted 90 miles a day on North Jersey highways and after a few years of the powder coat getting sand blasted every day, it began to rust. All over. Millions of tiny rust spots.
When I bought the '17 2500, they came out with a flat black textured coating that was guaranteed 3 yrs for rust. It's their "Ultimate Armor" or "UA" finish and it's tough. I've had it on for 3 yrs and nothing has damaged it at all. Not even the CVS drive thru. I did f**k up the drive thru though![emoji14] These fools that are designing new drive throughs don't take into account some of us drive Crew Cabs with an 8' bed.
It's like taking a 36 grit belt sander to whatever you scrape.
Powdercoat is +/- $650.
UA is +/- $950. Well worth the money. Just ask any of the guys/gals here that didn't have one when they hit a deer. $5,000, $ 7000. Who knows...
Good luck making it into "your" truck.

Good luck making it into "your" truck.

I was told that the bolt on were not as good at saving the truck as an actual Ranch Hand bumper with the welded grill guard. Since you stated your experience with this I am reconsidering my options.

welcome, good looking truck!

Agree, no CAI, do a Pedal Commander.

Tailights, just add tint, a good tint shop can do them, see below what I did on my factory tails.
The Magnaflow, any mufler they make sounds good, also plenty of options.
