Finally done 4" SuperLift w/35" Trail Grapplers

I was torn between those two. I went with the Patriot because I really needed the wide step pad for my Wife and Kids. You can pull it pretty tight to the body when installing it, looks pretty low profile and they are 5" wide I think, so they keep down some of the stones and mud the the wide tires throw.

Yeah you made a good choice especially for your needs . They look really good to and Definately has me thinking about those also .

How's the ride now compared to stock? Any vibrations or is it just more stiff ? Have you had it aligned yet ?

It rides just as nice as stock. You can feel the knobby tires at low speeds, but it isn't annoying. The first thing I did was drive it to the shop down in town to have it aligned.

That's cool , years ago I had a new 06 f150 and all I did was level it and some 33'' toyos and it got a little stiffer but not much but you could feel the tires when coming to a stop around 5 to 10 mph .

I confused. Now . just printed instructions for this kit. I already have bilsteins. Sonwould i get the kit without them. Are the ones that come up n the kits the same 5100?.

Do u use strut spacer and bilsteins in this kit. Instructions make it seem like one or other. Spacer is only for stock struts?

If u dont use strut spacer. How would the get the length unless the are longer struts. It also says botom groove. Does that mean max settinig on bills or 0

The install is work. It is quoted at 14 hours. It took me 2 full days and a few hours on Monday. But that was in my driveway. I chose SuperLift because they seemed to run a bit higher than the others and I could get it with the Bilsteins. And most importantly it is one of the few that maintain your factory warranty.

Wow never heard that before ?? For what it's worth I've heard that the Mopar kit is the same as a Superlift kit ???

Just got off the phone with superlift. Still debating 4 or 6. They did not recommend adjusting billsteins as again u are changing the cv angles. So he suggested just going with a 6 inch and leaving bills at lowest setting. Any thoughts.

Could you tell me the spec on the steps? I love how subtle they are and how tight to the frame they sit. Truck looks great!

Wow this thread blew up, sorry for the delayed response. Yes you use the strut spacer either way. It goes on top of your stock top hat. So if you have Bil's then order the kit w/out them. The bottom groove is 0.

I went 4" because I was afraid of too much wheel gap with 35's, but I wanted a bit more. I looked at a ton of pictures with 6" lifts and 35's, with the tires looking tiny. My goal was in between 4" and 6" lift. I don't see any issues with the Bil's being adjusted, guys do it all the time to level. My cv's are not flat, but the angle is not bad at all.

Thanks. I don't have any specs really. They install easy with sturdy brackets and can be pulled really close to the frame. They also don't flex much at all.

I believe his first post said bills set @ 2.1" and he still had 3/4" rake , so if you don't regularly haul anything and you want a true level lift set em to max , Top ring 2.8" , depends how much rake you have . I have 2.75" , I'll be setting mine to 2.8" & installing Mevotech UCA'S for insurance . I haul occasionally and I often pull a boat ( I don't mind a bit of squat when I'm hauling or pulling . Most of my driving is done with just the truck and I'm after level .

Yes I set them to 2.1 (the forth ring) My drive way isn't perfectly level, I finally found a good lot to measure in and came up with 43.5" on both in the front and 44.75" on both in he rear. So I have a 1.25" rake, I can live with that. I imagine the new springs in the rear will settle maybe a 1/4 inch.
Again I went this route to get the look I wanted. I'm pretty sure a 6" lift would've easily gave me another inch, make the wheels look too small in my opinion.

U added a 1/inch back sapcer. Setting the bils at 2.1 should give rougly 2 inches of lift making u still nose high. Confused how u still have that much rake. And back is higher.

If you set the the Bil's to zero with no spacer in the rear, you will not be level. You have something like 2" of rake. I'm thinking I want to try and get it a little bit more level, but I'm not sure I want to max the Bil's out.

So tonight I lifted the truck up a bit under 3/4" with a jack to see what it looks like at 2.8" on the Bil's. I think I may give it a shot. The top is at 2.1 the bottom is 2.8
