Being a 16 year old, my budget for vehicles is naturally much lower than most. However, with the luck of a well paying construction job, I was able to get my 09 ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab. My phone auto filled my birth date which states that i am a 25 year old. She’s pretty stock, gotta do the tie rod ends and an alignment, get a new fan belt, blower motor, and the hemi tick which I’m assuming is a manifold tick as it goes away once the truck warms up. I also have to fix the rusty rocker situation as I live in Alberta. I did swap the jump seat for a Center console and switch the basic stereo for an RHR. I do plan on making her beautiful though, there are modifications to come as my budget allows. I will update this thread as I get new things.

Nice looking truck,it's hardly broke in at 146,000 clics, lol. What part of Alberta are you in.Calgary has the Calgary truck club which holds meets on Thursday nights at Timmies on Blackfoot, just south of Shaw GM, Edmonton has Badlands Rams which holds variable meets, both are facebook clubs if you're interested. The ALX club also holds weekly meets in Airdrie on Wed nights in the summer, and they welcome trucks

I’m about an hour east of grande prairie in a little town. I am interested in those meets though. Truck needs a little TLC here and there, but eventually I’d like to upgrade to a crew cab. Preferably around 2014 up. Quad cab isn’t bad at all I just like having a bunch of cab space. I’m thinking once I get her all fixed up and a good amount of cash in my pocket I’ll start looking for trades n such.

You must be somewhere around High Prairie by the sounds of it. Check out Badlands Rams on facebook for the Edmonton meets.Troy usually has a few meets going, more in the summer, but they still get together every once inawhile in the winter. Quite often there's a few late model Rams racing at Castrol (Edmonton/Leduc's 1/4 mile track) on Friday night Street Legals if that interests you.I usually make the run up from Airdrie for Friday night street legals. My truck is pretty easy to find at the track.

Yeah it sounds like all sorts of fun. I’ll check it out. Wont be do any racing though, this is my daily driver and I can’t afford any big problems with her.

LOL racing them on a track is no differant then mashing the gas peddle on the street. If you've spun the tires on the street,it'll be exactly the same at the track, but legal, lol

All you need to race at Castrol is a cheap helmut and 40 bucks, lol. The only thing they're a bit sticky on are tires and dirty vehicles. They won't let you run if the tires are bald, and there's a bunch of dried up mud hanging off the truck. If your truck is dirty, run it through a carwash (there's one in Leduc that's pretty close to the track) and hose it off. If you give me a heads up when you're going,i can help you get through tech etc. I get away with murder there,as i've been going to friday night street legals for years, and know pretty well most of the track personal, lol.I'll be there either with my truck,or the wifes 1320 Challenger, both are pretty easy to find.Cars usually the only purple late model Challenger there, and my trucks usually the only red regular cab shortbox 4th gen truck there,so they're easy to find.

fair enough, I’d have to put on summer tires for that lol because the spring/summer would be the time I’d go, and my tires right now are studded winters

Yes they might frown on you if you showed up with studded winter tires, lol. The track won't open till probably late April at the earliest.Usually they run from late April till the first weekend in Oct,weather permitting.

Haha, yeah it all sounds very intriguing, but now that I think about it I might have a full time summer job again and might not be able to come down. Time will tell, however.

Got the Ronin 50. Cal bullet antenna for the truck. I don’t use radio much. Doesn’t really seem to affect the major stations up in my area much though.
