So long story short I was at fault and rear ended a Lexus. I was traveling at 40mph when I noticed the car in front of me was going 20mph with no cars in front of her. I had a about a car length behind her when I was attempting to make a lane change. As I went to check my mirror and look back she had slammed on her brakes. I had no time to react. Luckily no was hurt.

Unfortunately I have a $1000 deductible. So now the fun part of picking out new parts. The only hard thing to fix with be the fender above the headlight. Depending on the estimate I will do all the work myself. If you have any parts that can help me let me know. I need a headlight, grille, and the hood release (I can't find the part number). I will be going aftermarket with the lights and grille. I have decided if I want to paint the front bumper or just replace it with a NFAB.

I have very little damage. Some of the scratches on the front bumper is actually from a deer not this accident.

Now should I get an aftermarket bumper or do a Laramie conversion? Anybody know if tow hooks will work with laramie cover?

Wow, that Lexus is messed up, and all you did was break your grille and headlight, lol. Sorry for the whole situation though, that sucks.

Consider yourself blessed that this no-injury accident is your first...and hopefully only.

Her biggest complaint was I crushed her groceries in the truck. I pushed the trunk into the back seat of the car. I crushed the rear quarter panels until they touched the rear tires and broke her rear window how. I did bend my front fender and the support the headlight connects to. I found a company on ebay that will paint and ship me a new fender for $250. I was looking at Laramie bumper cover for $142. I want to find some nice headlights. Might as well go aftermarket if I have to fix it. Pretend like it never happened. Just getting some mods done.

I have heard the eBay projector headlights are crap far as the projector. Most have replaced the projector with a better quality one, but I'll let others chime in on that because I don't have experience with that personally.

Complaining about $100 or so in groceries, now that's funny!

As for the headlights I have the CCFL option of these: Spyder® - Dodge Ram 2004 Black Halo Projector Headlights with LEDs

They are an awesome set of lights, however; they are a MF to get adjusted. You have to put them in and see where the light goes, then take them out and adjust them and put them back in to see the light angle again and take them back out and adjust them and so on and so on.

After I finally got them adjusted and set for good, I have receive alot of compliments on them.

I can tell you that when I was younger, every set of eBay headlights I've ever used or seen used were absolute junk. Terrible fit, terrible quality, terrible beam pattern etc. best thing to do is replace them with oem and if you want a different look then either take the lens off and paint the chrome piece in the headlight, or do a real retrofit on the oem headlights. The retro shop does some real nice retrofits on our headlights.

I've realized that even though stock headlights might look a little boring, I'd rather have that than a set that leaks, throws light everywhere but the road, and bounces all over every time you hit a bump.

I'm thinking about it. I'm trying to figure out grille and headlights at the moment. Find a paint shop. Maybe a hood to go along with all of this.
