Just Completed my first mods on my 15 Ram.

Debadged a few days ago and today I installed the DOD80M muffler delete from Mufflex. What a difference in sound. Finally sounds like a mans truck. The install went well. I do need to adjust one of the tips it is a little lower than the other.

I also have on order a 8AN system, Bezel and steering controls from a fellow member on here.

I ordered a Bedrug and a tonnue cover from Amazon. Looks like a busy weekend for me.

Still need to order the vararam intake, speakers, and add a sub.

Sounds like you are about to enter a "Mod Frenzy"!

Good luck with the upgrades. I hope it all goes well.

Good luck with all your mods! You will love the 8.4 it's leaps and bounds better than the 3.0 or the 5.0. That plus a premium cluster and you will feel like you are driving a different truck.

Excited to get it. Already have the code from the dealer. Woke up this morning and the first thing I do is to check the tracking. This is my first new truck and I am finally proud of a vehicle.

Not sure which radio you have now, but if you have the RA1 you will not have the phone / VR buttons on the steering wheel. If you do not currently have that I would suggest getting one and doing that at the same time as the steering wheel controls. And FYI I was able to test the controls on my truck without reinstalling the airbag. And becareful not to rotate the clock spring.

GLWM but be careful it gets addictive and exspensive

Yes it is and it will be a direct swap out PNP. I only recommend you do this to avoid having to remove the airbag a second time should you decide you want the VR and Phone buttons later on.

That said since you have the RA1 now you will not have a microphone for hands free and VR use. I also had the RA1, I chose to replace my mirror and added the harness for the upgraded mirror and the microphones were PNP (there is 2 in these mirrors. I am not well versed on adding an aftermarket mic but I know several others on here have done it. If you choose to upgrade the mirror they many times can be had on EBAY for about 75.00 and the harness you will need is about 30.00. I cannot provide the pns for these but others on here can. Because my truck has clearance lights, my harness pn would likely be different from yours and for me I had to replace my clearance light harness with one that was for both.

Which tonneau cover did you get?
And if you don't mind, would love to see some pictures!

I bought this one. Looks pretty good. Installed in just minutes. Now I need to find a low cost bluetooth mirror and a wiring harness.

I will get pictures this weekend. It is rainy and she needs a bath before I take any pictures. I do have a resistor and the plug to make a jumper so I do not get that phone error message. I ordered enough stuff to do a few and if anyone needs one let me know. No charge, just shipping and feedback.

The mirror itself is not Bluetooth, it just contains the microphones. If you buy it used make sure that it comes with the two black plastic trim pieces that cover the mount some of them I have seen on eBay do not include these and some do. They would run you another 40.00 to buy them after the fact.

Seems like a good deal, be nice if they sold you the harness and the mirror.

Strange they reference manual dimming. I was sure that all 8.4 assist mirrors as well as the 5.0 mirrors are autodiming. There is no flip switch on them either so how could they be manual dimming.
If you find one with smartbeam it will still work for you, but getting the smartbeam (autodiming headlights) to work would require more hardware a sales code flash etc, I have never heard of anyone adding it and the smartbeam mirrors are usually more exspensive.

I did buy that mirror, I do not need auto dimming. I do not drive very much at night because of sever migraines. Ever since I was hurt in 2003 with a IED I can not drive with alot of lights in my eyes.
