I just got a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500, single cab, 5.9L. For a while is was doing great, but a few days ago it started having issues. It will start but die instantly. It stays running if I'm pressing the gas it will stay running, as soon as I let of the gas it dies. Anyone have any ideas as to what the issue is. Any information will help. Thanks for your time.

Your Idle Air Control (IAC) valve is either not functioning or the passage in the throttle body is clogged.

It's located on the throttle body (which is under the air cleaner) on the back side.

A bad TPS will do this as well. The throttle position sensor is also located on the throttle body, driver's side under the air cleaner.
