We just got a 2019 RAM 2500 CTD. This replaces our previous 2014 RAM 1500, 5.7 Hemi. The previous truck towed our trailer fine, it was just overloaded, we do not travel light. Our trailer weighs right at 9000 pounds. Well, the new truck towed the trailer great! It has the six speed transmission, and on this 25 mile test run, got into sixth gear once (in tow/haul mode). Going up hills, there was none of the shifting down and winding out the engine, the Cummins just pulled up the hill in fifth gear. And that exhaust brake is great, going down hills holds the trailer back, maintaining speed, it does shift down though sometimes. Anyway, liking the new truck!

What do you think, do I need to drop the front of the trailer a bit more? The rear of the trailer is about 1.5 inches lower than the front.

Hard to tell....it looks pretty level. Best way to check it all out is to get it scaled/weighed to see where you are at.

Thanks all. Yeah, I prefer a level to forward lean. We are getting a canopy shell, and with all the other stuff we carry, the truck should squat a bit more.

If you do want the front a bit lower try by shifting some weight from the rear of trailer to the front or put a few lbs in the bed...
