Welcome to the forum. I was looking around here for a few months before I posted and the info on here is excellent. My family has a little place out in Satsuma. We go out to the St. Johns to the submerged Sandbar about every two weeks and anchor up and have a good time. Neat little town, couldn't live there myself, but then again it's a heck of a lot better than Orlando.

Thanx for the warm welcome, It's good to see a fellow neighbor from the same little patch, you, and the fam are more than welcome to visit whenever you come up. Thus far, the site, and the people have been great in makin' me welcome. I've had the experiance of not even so much as a hello on some forums, but I guess that's just to be expected. btw, the sandbar is awsome, will have to sow ya the whole river, silver glenn, salt springs, deep creek, hope ya like Big gators, lol

Im from Texas and i never say howdy. LOL Dutch welcome! It took me a couple days to find this forum and i went so fast to register i used my own name! LOL hey are you all not afraid of alligators? Florida people speak of them like nothing. Im so far south when i run into a squirrel at the university we dont know how close to get. Haha

I used to live in Ormond (Before Key west then Orlando) and we used to put in at the drawbridge on 40 at the St. Johns and run across little lake George to Silver Glenn. By far my favorite Spring/Glenn anywhere in the area. And Check out blue creek during March-May when they're mating, there are some good 15 footers in there.

My friend who's originally from California feels the same way about them. They're practically oversized Iguanas with bigger teeth, no big deal really.

***** i catch 4-5 foot gators with my bare hands!!!!! ive been bit a few times but they dont scare me

Well I also grew up around them don't get me wrong they are viscous animals but if you know how to work with them you should be okay lol
