Ok gotta bump this for a question..probably a stupid one, but did you guys that have flares just put on new 3M double sided tape over the old stuff before install? Im worried if I put new stuff over the old there will be to much of a gap after install!!

I would not recommend nor do that. Simply remove as much as you can and put a new strip of 3M on

Its probably like de-badging and pulling that gunk off.
Im going to go try mine and see how it comes off.
I still need to remove the old stuff off of it.
