Flat performance

Hi folks. My first post on this forum. I searched through all the threads but could not find something similar.

I have had many issues with my new 2019 Limited. I have been back to the dealership four times now and is actually currently back there. I can list the problems that I have had if anyone is interested in them. The one that annoys me the most is while driving the loaner 2019 Hemi trucks I have noted that all of them have more pep than my own truck. I am not kidding. My truck feels "flat" compared to the rest of them. It is certainly lower on low end torque and no none of the loaners have e-torque equipped.

Any ideas, comments please?

Gears maybe? Does your truck have 3.21's or 3.92's and what gears do the loaner trucks have? Also if you drive your truck easy then it has learned your driving style and adjusted itself to that accordingly. Most loaner vehicles(especially those with HEMI's) probably get the **** drove out of them so they have adapted to that as all of these newer vehicles have adaptive learning capabilities. You could always disconnect the battery on your truck when you get it back to reset the adaptives then drive the hell out of it for 100 miles and maybe it will be better.

What this guy said. The trucks adapt to the driver's habits. Also the gearing, 3.92s will be snappier than the 3.21s. I bought the 3.21s and while it does have plenty of power, I am curious what it would take to swap out the gears on one of these 2019s.

I too have had a similar experience as the OP. My 2019 Bighorn crew-cab, off-road with 3.92 rear was at dealership for 3 weeks waiting for parts to fix a steering problem, they ended up replacing the rack & pinion and electric power steering assembly. After the first week of waiting for the parts they were "nice" enough get me rental truck from Enterprise, a brand new 2019 Bighorn quad-cab hemi 4x4 with less than 300 miles on it. I immediately noticed the difference, the rental seemed much more responsive. I thought (hoped) that maybe it was just that I hadn't driven my own truck in week and was mistaken. Drove the rental for 2 weeks and put just under 1000 miles on it, so I got a pretty good feel for it. Picked up my truck, returned rental, and yep my truck is definitely not as impressive. How much more does a crew-cab weigh than a quad-cab? Does the off-road package add much weight? I can't imagine Enterprise ordered their trucks with 3.92 gears, but I don't know what gears were in that truck. I feel as though my truck has adequate power, but nothing special. I think my 2003 quad-cab hemi 4x4 with 195k miles could probably give it a run. Worse thing about it is if I hadn't had disappointing problems (with a brand new truck) in the first place I prodaby wouldn't have ever given any of this a thought.

I checked the window sticker of the loaner and saw that it is also a 3.21 rear, so the same setup as my truck. I will try the battery disconnect as soon as I receive it back and do an updated post on the results.

I was a little disappointed myself when I got mine. I have 3.92 rear as well and it just felt weak. Then i added pedal commander and Pulsar and it is much better. However, I know we shouldn't have to add this stuff to make it drive right.
