Flexplate Knocking?

So I've noticed recently that my truck started making a knocking noise that sounds exactly like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pu7_jfDpeoU
It doesn't come from the engine, and sounds like it's coming from the transmission. Could it be the same problem?

Have you verified with some sort of stethoscope that it didn't come from inside the oil pan somewhere?

I've checked again and it specifically sounds like it's coming from the transmission oil pan right next to the catalytic converter

could be a lot of things then, none of which are fun to check.
