Okay I just had my Magnaflow #12909 install today I left the resonator on and for now I like it, it's just a little louder over stock but it give me a little deep rumble I see once it broke in before thinking about removing the resonator.

Congrats... the sound is nice, huh? I removed my resonator about 90% for aesthetics and 10% for sound. If you can live with the look, then I don't see a downside for keeping it.

Seriously though, the OEM resonator had to be a design afterthought... that thing is hideous! :puke:

I had dual Flowmaster on my truck and the drone was unbearable. My wife couldn't here me talk when she's sitting in the backseat. I put a 22" MagnaFlow last week it sounds a lot better. The drone isn't as annoying but it still has a deep rumble.

Yeah guys so far I like it, it's not too much more than stock but I like the deeper sound of it and like it was mention maybe in two week I might take off the resonator after the muffler brake in a little.

I was talking to this police officer last night which live about a block away said that every time I leave or come home he could hear me coming in, lol. I think everybody can hear me when I had it on my 14's I had the resonator off on that one. Give me about two week and I will see if it come off or stay on.

I heard a 70 on a V8 Trans-Am and honestly it sounded like a four cylinder import, I kid you not.

So far so good, I'm still loving it, it's not loud but it still need to be broken in a little. I had the Flowmaster 70HD on my first ram and like it.

I'm glad to hear you want to try it with the resonator. Even though it is incredibly ugly, that is what I am leaning towards. Looking forward to your feedback!

When it been about a couple of weeks or so and have decided to remove the resonator today, with it on you can't hardly tell the different from stock, even the wife said something about how quiet it was and that she like hearing the rumble sound. I said okay the resonator is coming off but I did keep it just in case and now I'm loving it.

I don't think that it's all the way broken in yet, that's why I kept the resonator so I can put it back on.

Sounds pretty good. Almost stock is my goal, just want it to not sound so strangled at idle and just above(around town). If it is super quiet while towing that would be a bonus.

Yes, that's it that will be a bonus the wife this morning said it's not too loud when I was leaving this morning, so what is the breaking in point how many miles will it take to break it in, I have now about five hundreds or so miles on it now so I'm not sure if it going to get a little louder?

I put on a bolt in Flowmaster 50 series into my 2015 with a 5.7l. It's not too loud but loud enough to sound ******* awesome. It's made for 2009-2016 with 5.7 and duel exhaust. Actually I'll post the video before and after so you can check it out.

So far I'm liking the sound with the resonator off I should have done that when I first had it done but it's all good.

If my truck sounded like yours did stock, I'd be satisfied. The 6.4 stock exhaust is sad.
