Greeting from NC. Just joined the forum to get some info on suspension lifts. I have had my 2011 1500 for about a year and decided it was time to do something about the altitude. I am looking to run 35's and I know I can do that with a 4 inch, but I may go with a 6 just in case I change my mind down the road. My only concern is that the 6 inch lifts with 35s look a little funny.

I have been wanting to lift the truck since day one, but have been ******* with another project. 2009 SRT Challenger 426 Stroker motor build. Now that the car is done (Finally) I am ready to start hooking the truck up.

Look forward to chatting with you

Dave

Very Cool SRT. I love it. I can help you out some with the lift. Now you do have options to look at with a lift. I currently have a 8" lift running 35's and it does look funny with the 35's. I will end up swapping my 35's for 37's but money comes first. I installed a Zone 6/5 lift and then installed Bilstein Adjustable 5100 shocks and set them to max 2.8". With every lift you have options for the front and rear. A 4" lift raises the front 4" and the rear 2" giving you a level look. Now with the 6" lifts you can run a 6/3 or a 6/5 lift. The 6/3 lifts the front 6" and the rear 3" giving a leveled look and the 35' tires look great on that. Even a 6/5 lift raising the rear 5" does give you a rake look and the 35" tires look okay with that. With a 6" you can run 37's but you also need to think of gas mileage and gear ratio when you pick your tires. As far as what brand kit to go with it comes down to what you like the most. I run Zone and I am very happy with my Zone lift.

Thanks for the info! Was there any cutting or welding with that kit or was it all bolt on?

I could not tell you I had my truck shop do the install. I was under impression that it was all bolt on though.

Welcome, see ya have a King decal also .

Thank to all for the warm welcome!

Yes Sir, Brad was instrumental in that project, certainly couldn't have done it with out him. I have been working with him and Andy Underwood for a few years now. Good guys. I am sure we will do business again.
