Hey guys. Soooo bought some replacement led fogs for my 18’ sport the other daaaaayyyy. Some should get that reference lol. My truck came with aftermarket led fogs in white that worked great but I wanted to try amber/yellow. Well the ones I bought were not near bright enough so I swapped back to my originals.
Well now my passenger fog wont turn on. Connector has full voltage, works with new one but not the old one.
Moved old one to driver location and works fine.
Something else went wonky as I did this last night and when I went to remote start this morning, it wouldn’t. Had a message on dash “ insert key and start to reset”. Truck started barely as the battery was drawn way down.
What the heck happened??

just a guess but the blinker fluid is low? D'oh!
Did you try the fog lights with the ignition on but the engine not running?
How old is the battery? maybe try putting it on a charger for a couple of hours?

Just topped the blinker fluid the other day…
Yes and running as well. Battery has been fine and now fine all day. Sounded like a fan was on that usually stops after truck is off for a bit. Like something didn’t shut down all the way.

Some LED's are polarity sensitive. Maybe try turning it 180 degrees.

Can’t, the plugs are mated for one direction only due to safety clip. Once it warms today I’m going to start digging into it.

Ok but doesn’t solve my issue.
If it's a polarity issue, these are non-polarity LED bulbs. The fact that the passenger side works with the new one and not the old points to a connector issue. Maybe the old one has a bad connector pin crimp

Solved the riddle. Turned truck on, still no passenger fog, checked polarity, didn’t matter. Disconnected the positive to the battery, let sit for a bit. Reconnected the batt and ****, light now works.
