Hey guys, I've searched on here for quite a while on how to get my fog lights to work again but everything i have found has been a different issue than mine...
So, my fog lights will not turn on, when the switch is pushed the symbol illuminates on the dash, so its not the switch? I put new bulbs in and made sure all the connections are tight, so that rules out that as well. Is there a fuse or relay I should be looking at to solve my problem? If so what one? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Have you checked your plug connections to see if they are getting power?

Okay I'd start there and work your way back to possibly even the switch.

Yup, what these fellas said. The fog light harnesses have been known to go bad from time to time from what I've read (happened to me too). Check your main connection too (where it splits off to both lights, just above the driver side fog light). Mine was full of water!

You are positive you aren't turning the rear cab light on? Stupid me thats what I did the first few times I tried to get the fog lights to turn on.

I'm sorry but that's funny. We've all done silly things so sorry again for laughing but put a smile on my face haha.

First, and I mean VERY first thing to do is get a voltmeter. Even a cheap one is better than nothing. You've already changed bulbs and mentally ruled out the switch. Very difficult to troubleshoot electrical without a meter, pretty easy with one. You can't even really test a fuse without one.

There's probably a fuse you can visually check without a VM. My fuse diagram is on the actual fuse box lid (like a box of chocolates).

Yeah, but sometimes a fuse that appears good is actually bad.

Yes, but sometimes it's obviously blown and he could replace it and move on with his life. If it's still good then he can worry about getting a voltmeter and proceeding.

Very first thing to do is whatever is easiest, and cheapest.

Yes, but he already changed the bulbs. Not to mention if the fuse IS blown finding what caused it to blow. You're telling me that a $10 voltmeter is more expensive that the bulbs?

What? I didn't say anything about the bulbs. I'm telling you the easiest, cheapest troubleshooting option, other than checking the connections which he did already, is to pull the fuse and look at it. Plain and simple. The guy said he didn't have a volt meter, so I was giving him suggestions other than just regurgitating the same thing three other people had already said.
