I have a spare 7 pin plug, and wanted to do SOMETHING to it so when plugged in to the 2016 RAM 1500 SLT, the controller thinks there is a trailer connected. There are alot of suggestions using various resistors, and I have tried everything from 1 ohm to 370 ohms. None of that works. If I plug in the trailer, the controller identifies the trailer, but I NEED to be able to get the controller ON with no trailer connected so I can figure out why the controller cut out and then came back on ... on the Interstate dragging 7,000 lbs. Dangerous. Scary.

I have a code stored ECU=ITBM, DTC=U0415-00, "invalid data from ABS control module A". Related?

I know there is trailer brake simulators, but those are usually $$$
Buy a trailer brake magnetic set up, the brake controller can probably detect the difference between a simple resistor and the coil induction of the brake magnetic
