I would consider it if I had to replace my mirrors, BUT I would need to see them on a ram first.
I'll be selling my tow mirrors with turn signals defrost and puddle lights soon to get some so I'll have some pics

FYI the mirrors are actually GM-style and you used a bad example since from what I can tell around my area the Dodges/RAMs rust out before most other brands lol. I drive a Ram but I’m just being honest.

on the topic of the thread: I’m not sure how I feel about the GM mirrors on our truck. Would have to see them in person I guess.

Yep, but the person posting before me mentioned Fords. And in my experience with my 5 Fords they were barely on the road more than in the shop and that isn't an exaggeration. 3 of them needed new engines (2 by 40,000 miles and 1 at 60,000 miles)

Plenty of people have had the same experience with mopar stuff wheee they’ve gone thru engines etc.

But it’s obviously not the norm for either. They both make great trucks....they’re just different. I’m sure you know that your experience isn’t the norm right?

I know there have been good Fords built but out of my 5 3 needed new engines and Ford (Michigan) was very rude to me when I talked to them about it. Their response was 'well that's your problem'. So no more Fords for me ever. Sold my last one about 2000 or so. I have had about 20 Chevys and 4 Rams and none of them ever had engine issues (or any type of major issues for that matter). Aside from the engines I had no start issues, 4x4 quit working, power windows quit, cruise control quit. Those were all on my Fords. Never had an issue anything like that with either of the other manufacturers.

Wow, I got under your collar. Do you have a Ram or Ford? My Ram doesn’t sit at all as I drive it everywhere. Mine starts every time and no Rust. Sorry to get you upset on Sunday.

I wouldn't want them, but if the yahoo's that drive around with their mirrors out while not towing a thing put a set on their trucks I wouldn't mind a bit.

I hate the Ford style mirror... Frankly, I have no issues with my "Stock" mirrors, I use them all the time, I see great. I fold them up when pulling my goosenecks, but then really don't need to, mirrors are no substitute for situational awareness--Turn your heads! I see so many people only use their mirrors and never look over their shoulders!

I think its quite funny when folks drive around with them up when not towing--looks like a bug running down the road, here its usually the guys that squat their trucks too, they have never realized they left High school a long time ago..

Hey screw you guys! Hahah.

I have started driving with them up 24/7. The way they work. And visibility with them up is just soooooo much better.

I do agree however. SHOULDER CHECK! Being that I ride a motorcycle (and was almost killed on one) I cannot stress enough to people to just turn their ******** head!

Went to Lowes today and on that short trip saw 2 Rams with the mirrors flipped up not towing. Looked pretty ridiculous in my opinion. I was in my truck and my mirrors were down...lol. But to each their own. I guess there are some that might hate my hairstyle or boat color so it is up to them, not me. Just flipped up mirrors aren't for me unless I'm actually towing
