Hello everyone.

I wanted to make a quick post in regards to the fox shock fitment.

Fox offers a nice 2.5 series coilover shock kit for the front end of the Ram 1500 but the rear applications only have the 2.0 series.

Fox also offers the 2.5 series piggybacks but for the HD application only but luckily enough they do fit and work on the 1500 as well. For the past 8-10k miles I’ve been running the 883-26-026 piggyback fox shocks on my rear end and haven’t had any problems.

so if any of you are looking to match your rear suspension to your front, feel free to look at the 2500 and 3500 section of Fox Racing.

I've been pointing this out out for almost 2 years. I was one of the very few who tried 2500 rear shocks from Rancho myself back then looking for longer shocks for offroading.

I've been documenting every single shock i think can fit rear or front and have added them into a list, now here:
https://www.ramforum.com/threads/4th-gen-1500-coilovers-struts-shocks-control-arms-trackbars.158811/

But to clarify not all 2500-3500 rear shocks will work. In my research i found Mopar changed the upper rear shock mounts after 2013 for the 2500 trucks and i'll imagine 3500's will be the same.

So what fits in the rear of the 4th Gen 1500 trucks is rear shocks from 02-08 Dodge RAM 1500 4wd and rear shocks from 02-13 Dodge/RAM 2500. There are different lenghts listed in the sheets in my thread. Wonder what do we need to do so the mods can stick that thread up a the the top of this section ? everybody should know what fits by now :)

I just pulled the trigger. I didn't get the nice/fancy ones. But, I did need the length and got the 2500 shocks. Is the ride stiffer? Are they smooth on the 10 fwy? I have the SD truck coils (25% stiffer) and that is my worry. None-the-less, I did order them.
