Hello RamForum! Roady here!

Have been checking out this forum for the past week or so. Someone referred me to a Ford forum where he has been a part of for the past few years, being a ford truck owner. Well being a Dodge owner myself, I wondered if there was a community and lo and behold, came across this place. And I'm glad I did. RF seems to be a great place for fellow Ram owners to get together and help one another.

While I like tinkering on trucks, I will say my knowledge about vehicles in general isn't as extensive as I would like. But I'm learning! This is the first truck that I have owned (while my first car was a van, and now I currently own a GMC Jimmy as my daily driver), the Ram I saw and I couldn't turn 'er down. Now I'm an official owner! My Dad has owned a few Dodges in the past and grew up with the brand and began to learn that Dodge trucks are solid.

I came across a first gen 1992 Power Ram 150 that could use some TLC. She looks like she's been used, but I'm looking to fix her up. Has a 4 speed with OD, 318 5.2 engine that runs great. Seems to be the base model as I don't have A/C. One of the previous owners put in an aftermarket radio and its damn ugly. Eventually want to get my hands on the original radio that came with the truck. When I bought 'er she came with a cap (which I'm looking to sell) and a snow plow. By the time I registered and the truck was legal, no more snow fell really, so I guess I'll have to wait til this winter. But in the meantime, I want her to look all nice and pretty. I plan on fixing all that body work and getting rid of all the rust. I have some big plans.

Here's a few pics of the truck with and without that cap.

I'll post some more pictures of the interior in a little while.

Thank you and I look forward to talking to y'all around the forums!

edit: I dunno why when I said "t alkin'", it would censor it (without the space of course, or else it would do it again, lol)

Welcome, and nice truck! The first vehicle I bought on my own was a '93 W250 with a 5.9 360. Standard cab, long bed. I totaled it only 10 days after buying it, and I can't stop thinking about that truck. If there is 1 car I want more than anything, it's that truck. I will own another one at some point. Good luck fixing her up, and can't wait to see it looking pretty.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes!

That's a true bummer there, Volsram. I'm sure you'll get a new one. She'll present herself to you when the time is right ;)

Oh yea, she'll get fixed up. Might take me some time, but I'm hoping to get most of what I can afford done this summer. My biggest project that'll have to be done is the floor pan on the drivers side. It's pretty much non-existent. Previous owner put in a couple roadsigns to patch it up, but I plan on either cutting out the rotted parts and welding in some new steel or buying a new floor pan for that side. It doesn't seem that the rot hasn't touched the trans tunnel so that's good. A buddy said he would help me with some of the body work. He's almost as excited to help me with fixing up the truck. Told me if I do it right, it'll look beautiful. The only things I have gotten a chance in doing in fixing it up so far is changing out the TPS, and I have purchased a new muffler and turn signal switch. (As of current, my windshield wipers are stuck like that). She still needs a tuneup and an alignment. Waiting til it gets a little warmer to take care of those. Still a little cold and wet up here.

Here's some more pictures:

As you can see, the rocker panel is rotted out towards the back end and this is what it looked like before the patchwork was done with the road signs.

What gets me is the passenger side is near perfect. (and you can see that ugly radio lol)

Put on a seat cover. The original upholstery is fine, unfortunately on the drivers side it was beginning to rip at one of the seams. Everytime I got in and out, it would only rip more.
