I was wondering if anyone on here knew how to take out the front axle shaft from the differental. would i need to take off the diff cover or would it just slide out?

to be honest, mine has a c clip type thing on the differential side, and on the cv axle side. its suppose to give on the out side first, but when i pulled on the shaft it popped out of the carrier. i thought i boke it, but it clicks rite back in. i think i have a pick to show you what im talking about.........

the brown rust side is the cv side. its hard to tell but you can see the recesses that the c clips sit in, the cv side sits in deeper than the axle side so it gives first, but mine was rusted on.

yeah i just got my new Axle Shaft in a couple of days ago and it has the c clips on the diff and cv side. if it just pops in and out then it shouldnt be that bad of a repair. *knock on wood*
